Visit MON

Metallic objects and the contents of bags, purses and backpacks must be shown to the Security team at the Museum entrance. Unauthorized objects will have to be placed in the available lockers. The lockers are locked personally by the visitor.

Water bottles, containers with liquids and food must be left in the Museum's locker during your visit. Baby bottles may be used inside the Museum only with prior notice to the Security team, and never inside the exhibition rooms.

Umbrellas, toys, photographic tripods, as well as sharp objects that pose potential risks are also not allowed inside the Museum.

The use of any such objects, even if accidental, can cause damage to artworks and disrupt the circulation and the well-being of other visitors.

Substances present in the skin can damage various materials used in the artworks. The touch may also cause displacement of the work, causing physical and material damage.

The flash can alter the color of the artworks, especially paintings. Therefore, the use of flash inside the MON is prohibited.

The use of photographic tripods without previous authorization is not allowed. The Museum reserves the right to limit the taking of photos of certain works or exhibition spaces for security reasons or at the request of artists and curators.
Photographs, recordings and any material used in the media requires the written authorization of MON's Communication Office.
Photographing, filming and shooting editorials, for commercial and advertising purposes, requires the written authorization of MON's Events Office.

Photos for wedding albums, graduations or similar events are not authorized inside the Museum.

Pursuant to State Law No. 16.239, of 09/29/2009, the restriction on smoking applies to totally or partially closed areas and places where visitors and employees circulate or occupy.

Prevent children from running around the exhibition spaces and from dangerously approaching the artworks. Some of the displays may be unstable and their disruption could cause serious physical and material damage.

Only guide dogs accompanying visually impaired people and duly accredited assistance dogs are allowed (Municipal Decree No. 1,530/2022). Dogs whose credentials are not presented will therefore be prevented from accessing the Museum and cannot be left unattended.

The restriction equally applies to the free span open space areas and access ramps to the Museum.
